These Compression Splice Assemblies are specially designed for applications on CTC Global ACCC^® conductors only. Designs utilize a collet, housing, and coupler to safely transfer load between composite cores. The aluminum splice body then compresses around the conductor to provide electrical conductivity transfer.

• The Compression Splices are specially designed for applications on ACCC conductors.
• Design allows for continuous conductor operating temperature up to 180° C and 2 hour 200° C emergency operating temperature.
• Holding Strength: 95% or more of the conductor rated breaking strength (RBS) in accordance with ANSI C119.4 requirements for splice tensile strength.
• Compression of products can be completed with industry standard presses and specialty dies. Please contact PLP for information on purchasing compression dies for ACCC applications.

Includes:

• Splice Body: Aluminum component of the splice assembly that is compressed around the OD of the conductor.
• Inner Sleeve: Provides spacing between the conductor and the splice body to allow for compression.
• Collet: Steel collet that holds onto the exposed composite core of the ACCC conductor.
• Collet Housing: Houses core collet, screws into coupling assembly to distribute tensile load.
• Coupler and Collet Retainer: Steel coupling assembly joins collet housings and holds conductor tensile load.
