PLP ANNOUNCES ADDITION TO MANAGEMENT TEAM – Document Imaging Veteran Joins Company as CTO – SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – August 25, 2004 – PLP Digital Systems, the leading digital reprographics solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Cecil V. Hornbaker as Chief Technical Office and Vice President of Engineering. In this position Mr. Hornbaker will oversee the development of PLP's suite of software solutions. Mr. Hornbaker will report to John Cronin, PLP's President and CEO. His depth of knowledge and years of experience in document imaging and distribution will accelerate PLP's progress in the market," said John Cronin. Mr. Hornbaker is 20-year industry veteran with extensive experience in document imaging and distribution systems. Before he began working for PLP, Mr. Hornbaker served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Digital Paper Corporation, an industry leader in online document distribution and imaging systems. As a key member of the executive team, Mr. Hornbaker oversaw development and quality assurance as Digital Paper evolved from an entrepreneurial start-up to one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America as rated by Deloitte & Touche. Prior to joining Digital Paper, Mr. Hornbaker served as Technical Director for Image Machines Corporation, a developer of technical document management software and hardware/software interfaces for wide-format printer and scanners. Before Image Machines he held senior management positions at Vidar Systems Incorporated, most recently as Director of Engineering, providing imaging technology solutions to Xerox Corporation.
