PLP ANNOUNCES LOW COST SOLUTION TO CONNECT KIP 8000 OR XEROX 721P TO REPRO DESK SERVER

– PlotWorks® Connect Allows Reprographers to Print to non-Océ Devices Directly from Repro Desk Server –

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – November 11, 2003 – PLP Digital Systems, the leading digital reprographics solutions provider, today announced the release of PlotWorks® Connect, a digital connectivity solution that allows reprographers to print to either the KIP 8000 or the Xerox Wide Format 721P directly from Océ Repro Desk Server.

PlotWorks Connect is a PC-based software and hardware solution designed for Repro Desk Server users who wish to invest in non-Océ printers. As a digital connectivity tool, PlotWorks Connect is customer-installable and requires only minimal configuration. Training is available via the Web at no charge, or on-site for an additional fee.

In the past, reprographers who invested in Repro Desk Server were limited to using only Océ devices, or were forced to implement inefficient work-arounds. PlotWorks Connect eliminates the inherent problems with this approach including high network bandwidth consumption and lack of bi-directional communication with the printer.

Customers who later require advanced capabilities and options may upgrade at any time to the full PlotWorks solution. PLP’s Investment Protection Policy allows customers with active maintenance contracts to apply the full purchase price of PlotWorks Connect to the current list price of the desired PlotWorks configuration.

PlotWorks Connect is immediately available for $6,995. When acquiring a new KIP 8000 or Xerox Wide Format 721P the incremental investment for PlotWorks Connect approaches zero when customers decline the printer manufacturer’s controller.

Customers who purchase on or before Wednesday, November 26th, 2003 will save ten percent (10%) if full payment is received with order. Acceptable payment methods include Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Customers must provide a dedicated PC meeting PLP’s specifications. PC may be purchased separately from PLP.
